Кинокамера Blackmagic PYXIS 12K PL оснащена тем же полноформатным 12K сенсором, что и URSA Cine 12K LF, который обеспечивает до 16 ступеней динамического диапазона.
Она имеет 2 слота для карт CFexpress, интерфейс 10G Ethernet, поддержку синхронизации через Blackmagic Cloud. Камера выпускается в 3 вариантах байонета: L-Mount, PL и Locking EF, что обеспечивает свободу выбора совместимой оптики.
Ключевая особенность - крупная матрица с разрешением 12 288×8 040 пикселей. Ее площадь почти в 3 раза превышает сенсор формата Super35. Камера отлично подходит для работы с анаморфотами, оптикой для большого формата, поддерживает съемку в формате Open Gate (3:2), работу с анаморфным соотношением 6:5.
Отличается очень быстрым сенсором: возможна запись в 8K (2.4:1) до 112 кадров/сек, в 12K - до 60 кадров/сек. Поддерживается обрезка под 9K Super35.
Вместе с тем, что камера легко интегрируется с внешними мониторами (Pyxis Monitor с HDR-дисплеем 5"), сбоку у нее есть встроенный 4-дюймовый сенсорный экран, удобные кнопки и органы управления. Для тех, кто предпочитает снимать через видоискатель, доступен опциональный Blackmagic Ursa Cine EVF.
